Last Thursday morning Kiowa's City Council met for a special meeting. The city had to republish the proposed 2020 budget due to a typo. No members of the public appeared to comment on the budget so the hearing was closed. Council re-adopted the budget as presented and then applause began.

Mayor Bill Watson called the meeting to order with councilmen R.L. Simpson, Tom Wells, Brent Shaffer and Russ Molz present. Councilman Brian Hill arrived for part of the near 30 minute meeting.
