Cagle and Nolly Shine in Ouachita's Loss to ATU

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Ouachita Tigers Volleyball came out fighting against intrastate foe Arkansas Tech taking set one; however, they fall in the end by a score of 3-1.
Freshman Abby Cagle had her best game in a Tiger uniform putting in 11 kills on the day. She also added in four blocks and five digs.
Middle Adrianna Nolly was consistent for the Tigers again tallying 13 kills and recording six blocks.
Temi Fayiga secured another double-double as the Tigers' starting setter. In the match she would record 19 assists and 16 digs.
Ouachita fell behind early to ATU as they gave up a 17-13 lead before storming back in the first set. The Tigers used a 8-2 run to take their first lead of the game since 1-0 behind multiple kills from Tabatha Huckabee, who finished with eight kills on the day. Arkansas Tech pushed the Tigers to set point twice; however, Ouachita never quit, taking the 27-25 set one win.
In the second set the Tigers came out strong capturing a 9-4 advantage. The lead grew to a climax at 18-11 in favor of the purple and gold. However, ATU fought back finishing the set on a 14-5 run and taking set two.
The Tigers never gave up battling hard with their intrastate foe. However, Arkansas Tech went on to win set three 25-21 and set four 25-22.
