Woman charged in $300 embezzlement

A Cherokee woman is accused of taking $300 in cash from her employer. Samantha Pinnell, aka Samantha Renee Wells, 29, has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of embezzlement. Each count is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding one year or by a fine not exceeding $500, or both such fine and imprisonment.

Pinnell is accused of taking $100 in cash on three separate occasions from Subway in Cherokee, which is owned by Jiffy Trip.
