The latest book by Woods County author Dr. Sheldon Russell, "A Forgotten Evil," was released Oct. 8. In a departure from his recent works featuring railroad dog Hook Runyon, Russell has penned a historical novel that moves from Ohio to Kansas and into Oklahoma.

Set in the American West, the book describes what it took to survive in the time just after the Civil War ended.
