The undefeated Luther Lions shut out the Alva Goldbugs Friday night, 57-0. Most high school football games were played on Thursday because of the fall break. However, it was Luther's homecoming, and they wanted the game on Friday.
Alva is now 1-3 in district play and 3-5 overall. In Class 2A-1 district standings, Luther continues to hold first place with a 3-0 district record and 7-0 for the season. Chisholm is second at 3-0 and 5-2, Perry is third at 3-1 and 6-1, and Oklahoma Christian School is in fourth place with 2-1 and 3-4.
