Freedom fall carnival set for this Saturday, Oct. 26
October 24, 2019
The Freedom Public Schools annual fall carnival will bring food, fun and fellowship for local families.
Festivities will begin at the Legion this Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. with a chicken and noodle dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and dessert. The cost for dinner will be $7 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. Carnival games will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
The fall carnival raises money for the junior high and high school classes in order to fund class trips and events, such as the senior trip. Each class will have their own unique set of carnival games like the traditional bingo games and cakewalk by the senior class.
Other games and activities by other classes will include a dart throw, basketball shoot, football throw, paper airplane toss and mini golf. There will also be a haunted house by the junior class at the AF&AM building on Main Street and a car bash behind the legion. During all the festivities, there will be a silent auction, which will end at 8:30 p.m.
“There’s a lot of things to give away for bingo prizes,” Superintendent Bryant Weber said. “There will also be a variety of silent auction items just like past years.”
