Ouachita Men's Soccer Falls to the Jets

Wichita, Kan. – Tigers fight hard throughout the match but fall to Newman University 3-0 at Stryker Soccer Complex.
Ouachita and the Jets battled in a scoreless game for 23 minutes before Newman's Ed Jabbari scored his first of two goals. Newman's Grant Sacket also put in a goal leading the Jets.
The Tigers competed the whole way recording 10 shots in the game, three of which were on goal. Ten different Tigers put in a shot as all but two starters had an attempt towards the goal.
The match saw three yellow cards as Newman picked up two and Ouachita one. The Tigers put themselves in great opportunities to score as they attempted four corner kicks.
Matt Day played all 90 minutes in goal for the Tigers. He faced 20 shots from the Jets as 12 were on goal. Day tallied nine saves in the loss for Ouachita.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 as they travel to Hays, Kan. to take on Fort Hays State University. The game will begin at 1:00 p.m. as the Tigers look to finshed their Oklahoma road trip.
