Tigers Drop Both Road Weekend Games in Oklahoma

ALVA, Okla. – Tigers travel to Oklahoma to face off against Southwestern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State but fall to both 3-0, 3-1 respectively. Katie Camp led the Tigers in the match against the Rangers as she put in 14 kills and 25 digs. She also put in a good game against the SWOSU Bulldogs leading the team with seven kills and 12 digs. Ouachita's setters showed out in the matchup against NWOSU as each had a double-double. Temi Fayiga put in 23 assists and 11 digs as Joni Schneider had 22 assists and 10 digs. On the defensive side, Lexie Castillow 49 combines digs from the two matchups. Against the rangers she recorded 24 and against the Bulldogs 25. The Tigers played hard against the Rangers but dropped the first two sets. In the third set they trailed 23-20 before turning on the jets and capturing the win. Kills by Rileigh Fielder and Audrey Gallagher closed out the set for the Tigers. Ouachita, however, dropped the fourth set suffering a 3-1 loss. Against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Friday night the Tigers could not get things going. Abby Cagle led the Tigers early putting in five kills and adding four digs. Karli Ferguson continued playing well recording four kills on 11 attempts and just one error. The Tigers will be back at home in Sturgis Physical Education Center on Thursday, Oct. 31 to face off against Henderson State in the Battle of the Ravine
