AHS One-Act receives awards

The AHS One-Act team will perform their play, "The Miracle Worker," one last time on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The show is about Anne Sullivan and her breakthrough moment with Helen Keller.Tickets are for sale by any member of the AHS Speech and Debate team.

The AHS One-Act team was named Class 4A State Runner Up and had two students, Delaney Lambert and Emily Barton, named to the all-state cast list as well as two other students, Brickman Bradt and Kylee Harzman, with honorable mention. Students competed against the nine best plays in the state and walked away with first place in the regional championship and also received the Outstanding Tech award.

Mr. Bradt, director of the play, said, "Everybody this year brought their A game and stepped up the competition."

The AHS One-Act team will perform their play, "The Miracle Worker," one last time on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The show is about Anne Sullivan and her breakthrough moment with Helen Keller.

Tickets are for sale by any member of the AHS Speech and Debate team. All proceeds go to help kick start the competitive season, which has already begun.
