October losses by top teams leave Big 12 in chaos

In August, Oklahoma, Texas and Iowa State were the talk of the Big 12 Conference.

The Sooners, Longhorns and Cyclones all head into November looking to use bye weeks to bounce back from crushing defeats.

Oklahoma (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) dropped five spots to No. 10 in the Top 25 and is now on the outside looking in at the playoff after losing at Kansas State, 48-41. Texas (5-3, 3-2) fell out of the Top 25 following a 37-27 loss at TCU, and so did Iowa State after falling at home to Oklahoma State, 34-27.
