Man wanted for financial crimes arrested after jail visit

YORK, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina man wanted for financial crimes is in custody after he allegedly was found with drugs while visiting an inmate.

York County deputies say 35-year-old Donald Varnadore, of Sharon, was arrested in the lobby of the county detention center.

The Herald reports he brought meth into the Moss Justice Center, where the jail is located.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Trent Faris says jail officials determined there were outstanding warrants against Varnadore for financial card fraud. Deputies also found Varnadore had illegal items in a jail lobby locker used by visitors. Fa...
