Singing a John Denver ballad, Freddy Riggins entertains visitors to the Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva Friday evening. Artist Angela Muller of Russell, Kansas, specializes in textural paintings inspired by the surrounding prarie. Her work is featured at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva during November. THe work of Woodward artist Larry Hill is featured this month at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva. He attended the First Friday Artwalk to visit with those interested in his work.

With temperate weather and no local football game, a nice crowd gathered at the Graceful Arts Gallery for the First Friday Artwalk Nov. 1. In the large open gallery, people roamed admiring the displays or stopped to chat with friends and neighbors. Local author Sheldon Russell was seated behind a table topped by a stack of his latest book, A Forgotten Evil. Visitors enjoyed talking with Russell and having him autograph their copies.

Further back in the room, Freddy Riggins played his guitar while singing smooth ballads. An attractive array of refreshments topped a nearby table.
