High speed pursuit spans two counties

A man from Cherokee is charged with a felony after he allegedly led law enforcement on a high speed chase spanning two counties.

Court documents show just past noon on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Alva Police Officer John Caviness was informed by Woods County Dispatch that a reporting party had observed a man removing personal property from a FedEx vehicle without permission. The man was described as wearing dark clothing, a black hat and a red bandanna covering his face. The reporting party was following the man who was driving a 2012 silver Dodge Avenger westbound on 9th and Monroe Streets.
