Kiowas Pumpkin Carving Winners from Fall Fest

A 4-YEAR-OLD WINS FIRST – At age 4, Joseph MacKinney wins first place for the best painted pumpkin at Kiowa's Fall Fest. FIONA PLACES FIRST – With her painted pumpkin she stabbed with screwdrivers and knives after carving a face, South Barber sixth grader Fiona Walz wins the judges' vote for first place of the best painted and carved pumpkin at Kiowa's Fall Fest. GRINNING JACK-O-LANTERN IS JUDGE FAVORITE – South Barber elementary student James MacKinney carved this smiling jack-o-lantern that got the judges' attention for First Place Carved Pumpkin. PUMPKIN PERSONALITY – Adult Amanda Stauffer carved and created this work-of-art – a pumpkin with definite personality. Although not in a judged category, it screamed to be seen at Kiowa's Fall Fest. BOO! – A spooky Halloween scene fills this pumpkin created for Kiowa's Fall Fest by adult Dee Coyle.

Kiowas Fall Festival had a pumpkin carving contest with several categories. The catagories were: Best Painted and carved pumpkin, Best painted pumpkin, and carved pumpkin. There were also pumpkins there that were not in the judged catagories but there for all to see and enjoy!...
