DNA matches Oklahoma man serving life term to 1995 murder

WAGONER, Okla. (AP) — A man already imprisoned for murder has been charged in a separate 1995 killing in northeastern Oklahoma that state investigators say they solved by reanalyzing DNA evidence.

Court records show 58-year-old Kenneth Tyrone Brown was charged Tuesday in Wagoner County with one count of first-degree murder in the killing of 24-year-old Donald Hawley. Hawley was found beaten to death on the bank of the Verdigris River north of Muskogee in April 1995.
