Students shine at FPS awards assembly

Kari Nixon presents awards for the Woods County essay contest. Participants were asked to write an essay on a chosen topic. The awards were broken down into grade divisions. The high school division first place winner was Kaitlynn Rhodes (pictured here). Rhodes qualified for Area and will be competing on Wednesday. The eighth-grade winners were: Jack Morris – first place, and Michael Page – second place. The sixth-grade winners were Shay Wilson – first place, Gavin Rhodes – second.

TOP: Allison Estes happily accepts her perfect attendance award from Mrs. Shelite. BOTTOM: Brooke Denham, Allison Estes, Jack Wilson and Reagan Wilson receive a Perfect Attendance Award for K-8th grade at last week's FPS awards assembly. High school students receiving the award were Jaci Weber (10th grade) and Cade Kennedy (12th grade).
