Barnes selected as back-to-back Special Teams player of the week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the second consecutive week Aharon Barnes has been selected by the Great American Conference as the special teams player of the week, the conference announced on Monday.

Barnes' day was capped off by returning a kickoff 99 yards for a score. He returned two kicks for 138 total yards, with an average of 69.0 yards per return.

This is the 20th player-of-the-week selection that Northwestern has received from the GAC and the third this season. Barnes is the first Ranger to win back-to-back player-of-the-week honors since Northwestern joined the conference.
