The Woods County 4-H Public Speaking Contest took place on Sunday, Nov. 10, at Freedom Public Schools. Three Cloverbuds participated and 24 4-H members competed in categories such as: regular speech/talk, illustrated presentation, PowerPoint presentation, team illustrated presentation and job readiness. This contest helps Woods County 4-H youth develop public speaking skills, learn how to organize and prepare a speech or presentation, and develop self-confidence.
