Kiowa Council drastically scales back city building project as advised by new administrator

The City of Kiowa's new administrator Rusty Varnado took his seat at the city council monthly meeting for the first time at the November meeting. With the change in Daylight Saving Time the meetings changed from 8 p.m. to 7 p.m. However, the 7 p.m. meeting didn't start until shortly before 8 because council did not have a quorum. Councilmembers Brian Hill and Russ Molz were not there. Councilmember Brent Shaffer, who is grade 7-12 principal at South Barber, was still at the school board meeting.
