A crowd favorite is when band director Jill Daughhetee leads the 7-12 band in playing "Salute to America's Finest," and veterans stand as their branch of the military is recognized. 3. POSTING OF THE COLORS – Local veterans Dennis Christensen, Roger Robison and Mike Miller post the colors at Kiowa's Veterans Day program at South Barber High School. 4. A talented duo, band members Nora Gugelmeyer and Caden Rathgeber play a rendition of Taps as beautiful as the strength of the cold winds blowing that morning to conclude the Kiowa Veteran's Day program at South Barber High School. 5. While the entire class did the presentation, these fifth graders are shown in front of "America's White Table" just in time for their curtain call: (from left) Lydia Sciara, Nick Loewenstein, Wyatt Behee, Angel Stewart, Leah Rosenberger and Kenslea Schupbach.

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – Veterans stand to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag they defended during their service in the U.S. Armed Forces. This was at Kiowa's Veterans Day Service at South Barber High School. Veterans were seated together on the gymnasium floor where they were recognized throughout the program.
