Physician recruitment is continuing for Share Medical Center in Alva. CEO Kandice Allen said one doctor who visited has declined the offer because of the lack of opportunity for her husband to grow his practice. The other physician who recently visited has not replied yet.

Allen announced success in finding someone to cover Dr. Philip Self’s patients while he is deployed to Afghanistan. Steve Madrid, PA, who used to live in Alva has agreed to return in February for that purpose.
