Slow start hurts Northwestern against Southern Nazarene

BETHANY, Okla. – The Lady Rangers opened up conference play Thursday night in Bethany they took on Southern Nazarene. The Crimson Storm jumped out fast to take control of the game as they won this game in 67-53.
After trading baskets to start the game early on the Crimson Storm went a 10-0 run to open up a 12-2 lead and never let go from there. Their largest lead in the quarter built up to 23-7. NWOSU would trail 23-9 at the end of the 1st. The Crimson Storm defense was just too much for the Lady Rangers as they were held to 22% shooting in the opening quarter.
