Former Oklahoma probation officer sentenced for sex assaults

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A former Oklahoma probation and parole officer has been sentenced to two years in prison for sexually assaulting two women he supervised while they were on probation.
Court documents show 35-year-old Steven Powers was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Tulsa.
Powers pleaded guilty in August to two counts of deprivation of rights under color of law. In a signed plea agreement, Powers admitted he sexually assaulted two women he supervised as a probation officer in 2016 and 2017.
