December 6, 2019

Holiday shoppers are sure to find some great gift ideas during the First Friday Art Walk and Christmas Stroll Friday night in Alva. A number of downtown retailers will stay open late for shopping convenience.

From 6 to 8 p.m. the Graceful Arts Gallery on the south side of the square will be open so visitors may explore the many displays. Featured works are by Sam Beam, Carla Groschick Miller, Jay Heinrich, Deborah Burian and Kelly Langley. The work of other artists is also on display and all are available for purchase.

Enid author Peggy Chambers will be at the gallery where she will have books available for purchase and signing. Refreshments will be served.

At the Runnymede on the northeast corner of the Alva square, the NWOSU Art Society will have Christmas crafts for sale. Refreshments will be provided at this location too.

The NWOSU Chorale will be strolling around the square to sing Christmas carols throughout the evening.
