Ladybugs' stout defense too much for Timberlake

Waukomis, Okla. – The Alva Ladybugs move on to 2-0 as the Ladybugs beat the Timberlake Lady Tigers 65-18 in the first round of the Mustang Stampede.

The Ladybugs jumped out to a 25-5 lead in the first quarter. Many of the Ladybugs' points came from the full court pressure that led to quite a few fast-break points. Ladybug Chloe Durkee led the way in the first quarter with eight points, including two shots from the three-point line. Payton Jones added seven points in the quarter as well.
