Cherokee man charged after search of storage unit

A Cherokee man has been charged following a police search of an Alva storage unit in October.

Alfred Frank Flax, 56, of Cherokee, is charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute. This crime is punishable by imprisonment up to seven years and a fine of up to $100,000.

According to court records, during a narcotic investigation Alva Police Officer John Caviness learned narcotics were being warehoused in a storage unit on Harper Road in Alva. It was learned a suspect, identified as Frank Flax, was current renting a storage unit there.
