Goldbugs overcome Tigers 54-42 Tuesday

Going into the road game Tuesday, the Alva Goldbugs had the same 1-4 record as opponent Newkirk. The Goldbugs trailed by one at the end of the first quarter and by two at the half despite a big scoring effort by sophomore Jackson Feely. In the second half, more Goldbugs stepped up as the Tigers kept Feely away from the basket. Alva pulled away 34-29 at the end of the third and won by ten points with a 52-42 final score.

First Half

The first quarter scoring was a two man show between Feely and Kobe Killscrow. Feely made the first two baskets and followed with a trey for a 7-0 scoring run. Kills...
