Two initiative petitions that will be on coming up on state election ballots were discussed during the town hall meeting held by Sen. Casey Murdock Dec. 9 in Alva. Murdock, who is from Felt, was joined by Rep. Carl Newton of Cherokee.

Medicaid Expansion

Newton said he sat on the task force studying Medicaid last summer. "We looked at it and looked at it, he said. "We had some plans and then all of a sudden they got vetoed at the last minute." He said legislators are still looking at it.
