What annoys you? Some annoyances are specific, some are universal, but all are a distraction. Is there some scientific principal that applies?

Joe Palca in National Geographic says, “Annoyance may well be the most widely experienced and least studied of all human emotions.” He goes on to mention that the “proliferation of things that drive us crazy has only increased in the last ten years.” He gives Facebook, Twitter and telemarketing as examples. He calls it “the pandemic of social media influencers.”
