After a disappointing loss at Blackwell Friday night, Coach Shane Feely urged his team to be more aggressive for the Saturday afternoon contest with Frontier at home. It must have worked because the Goldbugs were fired up and took the win against the Mustangs 60-52.
Halftime adjustments tightened up Alva's defense in the three-point range. In the first half, Frontier was sinking nearly half their shots from beyond the arc. In the second half, they made only two more three's for a total of nine out of 30 attempts.
