Ladybugs are Wheat Capital Champs with 65-52 win over Kingfisher

The Alva Ladybugs were ranked at the top in the Wheat Capital Tournament at Chisholm, and they proved themselves worthy, beating Kingfisher for the championship 65-52. The last time the Alva girls took the first place trophy was in 2016.

After beating Perry in the first round 65-51, the Ladybugs faced a fierce Chisholm team Friday night. Battling back from a 49-32 deficit in the third quarter, Alva pulled off the 62-59 victory at the last minute. The Ladybugs have stretched their undefeated streak to 13 games.
