HOLLIS 'HOLLY' DEAN HENNEKE

Hollis Dean Henneke was born in Paris, Kentucky, to Orville and Nell Dennis on December 15, 1924, and went to the loving arms of her Savior on January 7, 2020.
Holly married Norman Henneke on December 16, 1943, and they moved to Oklahoma after the war. They had three children: Norma, Dix and Kay. Holly and Norm spent most of their early life together in Goltry, Oklahoma, where he was the superintendent of schools. They later moved to Freedom, Oklahoma, and Holly began her college studies at Northwestern Oklahoma State College in Alva, Oklahoma, getting her business degree in 1972. Soon after, she became director of placement at Northwestern.
Holly was involved in a number of activities and organizations including her church, 4-H, Ladies Aide, Home Demonstration, PTA and Bridge Club. The most rewarding work was her involvement in Northwest Family Services in Alva, where she lived in her later years.
Holly was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, and her daughter, Norma. She is survived by her son, Dix and wife Ellen of Banning, California; daughter Kay and husband Nick Werner of Helena; and son-in-law Marty Kaiser of Enid, as well as seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral service for Holly was held on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Ringwood First Baptist Church. Burial followed at Waukomis Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Online condolences may be made by http://www.lanmanmemorials.com.
