Alfalfa County working to secure federal funds

A blanket of fog hovered over Cherokee Monday morning but it wasn't enough to deter the three Alfalfa County commissioners from making their 10 a.m. meeting. Jay Hague, Stan Tucker and Marvin Woodall (joined by county clerk Laneta Unruh and administrative assistant Nancy Lambert) kicked things off by examining maintenance and operation payment warrants, monthly officer reports and blanket purchase orders. The heap of paperwork was considerably large, but the men signed off and approved it all.
