Waynoka school board purchases Church of God buildings for future day care center

At its regular monthly meeting Jan. 13, the Waynoka Board of Education approved the purchase of the Church of God building and parsonage on Maple Street.

“The plan is to use it as a community day care,” said Superintendent Scott Cline the day after the board meeting. He said they hope to have it up and running by August, but they've got a lot to do to make that happen.

In executive session later in the meeting, the board discussed Superintendent Cline's employment and on return to open session voted to extend his contract for another three years.
