Chisholm breaks Ladybug winning streak 50-48

After nearly a week off, the Alva Ladybugs had a cold start in their game against Chisholm Friday night. The Ladybugs won the Wheat Capital Tournament championship last Saturday against Kingfisher. Their path to the title included a fiercely contested Friday win against the Chisholm Lady Longhorns 62-59. Alva also played an away game at Chisholm to start their basketball season on Dec. 3 with the Ladybugs winning 50-36.

On their home court Friday, the Ladybugs were never able to overcome the deficit of the first quarter, losing to Chisholm 50-48. After putting the first points on the board, Al...
