Bobbie Ann Failes, 67, passed away at her home in Cherokee on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. She was born on December 2, 1952, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, to the late Robert D. Simon and Fern Kranz.

She attended school at Carmen-Dacoma and worked at the Carmen nursing home as a candy striper, which inspired her to later obtain her LPN license from Enid's Autry Vo-Tech in 1986. She spent almost 30 years dedicating herself to the care of others. She worked most of her career at the Cherokee Manor in Cherokee and ultimately retired from The Great Plains Care Center in Helena.
