WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A Wichita man was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder in the death of his 2-month-old son.

Marlin Williams, 23, made his first court appearance in the death of Marrell Williams. He was also charged with three counts of aggravated battery.

Williams was arrested Jan. 10 after officers went to his home on a report that a child was not breathing, police said. Hospital personnel discovered the boy had critical internal injuries and also had suffered previous injuries. His twin sister was hospitalized with a healing broken femur. Marrell Williams died Jan. 16.
