Kline named to All-State School Board

Stan Kline currently President of the Northwestern Technology Center was named to the Oklahoma State School Board Association's All-State School Board for 2020.

Stan Kline, who currently serves as the president of the Northwest Technology Center (NWTC) Board of Education, was named to the Oklahoma State School Board Association's All-State School Board for 2020. Kline is one of five honorees statewide. He will be recognized onstage in August at the Oklahoma State School Board Association (OSSBA) state conference.

According to Daren Slater, superintendent at NWTC, "Stan's leadership has been important is setting the direction for Northwest Technology Center over the past several years. We are proud that the OSSBA has honored him in this way. He is very deserving."

Kline has served on the NWTC Board of Education for the past 14 years. In 2005, Kline was appointed to the NWTC Board of Education to fill the unexpired seat of Dr. Dan Shorter.

Prior to joining the NWTC board, he served as the mayor of Alva for 15 years and on the Alva City Council for three years prior. Kline is a long time member of the Woods County Industrial Authority, the Alva Chamber of Commerce, First Methodist Church, RACE Car Club and is active with many other civic organizations. He has also been a member of the Oklahoma Municipal League. Stan is a retired member of the National Guard.


He started his professional career as a math teacher in Kansas. Currently, he is the owner of K&K Body Works.

Stan and his wife, Debbie, live in Alva. They have one daughter, Heather Kline.
