Goldbugs drop Enid Festival game to Riverside 60-37

The Alva Goldbugs knew going in that Friday morning's game against Riverside in Enid would be tough. The Braves are big, physical and very fast. Their 15-5 record showed they would be a strong opponent. The Braves pulled ahead of the Alva team 17-5 in the first quarter, and the Goldbugs never caught up, losing 60-37.

If the first and fourth quarters had been thrown out, the game would have been really close. Alva was down by 12 points at the end of the first quarter, but they scored 11 to Riverside's 12 in the second period. The Braves led 29-16 at the half.
