Rangers ninth inning rally falls short in baseball season opener

EDMOND, Okla. – Northwestern opened the 2020 season Friday afternoon against Missouri Southern State University as part of the Edmond First Pitch Classic this weekend. The season opened with a battle that Northwestern would fall just short in 7-5.

Sophomore Scott Creedon received the opening day start where he would go five innings pitched allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits while striking out five with one walk. After allowing a first-inning unearned run off a single he responded with two shutout innings before allowing two home runs in the top half of the fourth.
