Fatal collision between train and semi

A Kingfisher County collision between a train and a semi was fatal for the semi driver. The collision occurred Sunday about 6:26 p.m. at U.S. Highway 81 and a county road, five miles north of Okarche.

Timothy Allan Potter, 52, of Enid, was driving a 2018 Peterbilt semi westbound on the county road. According to the highway patrol report, he stopped before the railroad tracks to examine his trailer then proceeded to move again and was struck by the train. Potter was ejected from the semi, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner.
