Washburn was able to tack on another run from a Zion Bowlin solo home run to extend their lead to 3-0. The Rangers would respond with a run of their own trying to climb back into the game, as Gordon would sacrifice bunt, scoring Billy Rogers making it a 3-1 game.

The Ichabods wasted no time getting back on the scoreboard as they added two runs in the third. The first from a solo homerun, followed by an RBI double coming later in the inning increasing their lead to 5-1.

The game turned into a small pitchers duel after that top half of third as the teams would combine for four straight shutout innings before the Rangers ended the streak.

Northwestern's part of the seventh base would hit a sacrifice fly to left field scoring Dylan Norsen to cut into the deficit making it a 5-2 ballgame after seven full innings.

The game would stay 5-2 until the ninth when the teams traded runs. For Northwestern Donovan hit an RBI single to centerfield scoring Erickson. After that RBI single Washburn was able to close the game out from there to hang on to a 6-3 victory over the Lady Rangers.
