Kiowa plans brief power outage early Thursday morning

If you are on electricity through Kiowa, Kansas, and you feel the power go out about 5:30 a.m. Thursday, do not be alarmed.
The City of Kiowa plans a brief outage while they convert the town to the generator. City Administrator Rusty Varnado said the outage is estimated to be less than 30 minutes.
The city crew will do some maintenance on the city's electrical line Thursday. It will take from 8-10 hours, during which time the generator will run and power the city, Varnado said
