VERMILLION, Kan. (AP) — State and Marshall County officials are working together to investigate the death of a man after an explosion and fire at his northeast Kansas home.

Emergency responders found the body of Donald McLaughlin, 83, after the explosion and fire at his home in Vermillion on Jan. 24.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the State Fire Marshall and the Marshall County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death, the KBI announced Tuesday.
