Sheriff: 8 Kansas deputies suspended for illegal steroids

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Eight Sedgwick County jail deputies have been suspended during an investigation into the sale and possession of illegal steroids, Sheriff Jeff Easter said Wednesday.

All the activity, which had been going on for a year, apparently took place outside the facility and was contained within that group of deputies, Easter said. It does not appear any illegal steroids were introduced into the facility.
