At the Cherokee School Board's Feb. 11 meeting, the first action was to swear in board member Kurtis Goodwin. The board then voted to keep the board's organization the same.

Cherokee City Manager Mike Jones spoke to the board about a proposal that's close to his heart: having an officer in the school keeping the kids safe.
