A Cherokee man has been charged with felony embezzlement. According to court records, Jesse Tyson Crissup of Alva alleges that Jason Wayne Voth, 43, of Cherokee, fraudulently appropriated $25,000 from him.

Crissup says between June 21, 2018, and Nov. 30, 2018, he paid $25,000 to Voth with the understanding that Voth would construct Crissup a motor vehicle. Voth is the owner and operator of Chief Auto Body located in Cherokee.
