Cherokee man charged with embezzling $25,000

A Cherokee man has been charged with felony embezzlement. According to court records, Jesse Tyson Crissup of Alva alleges that Jason Wayne Voth, 43, of Cherokee, fraudulently appropriated $25,000 from him.

Crissup says between June 21, 2018, and Nov. 30, 2018, he paid $25,000 to Voth with the understanding that Voth would construct Crissup a motor vehicle. Voth is the owner and operator of Chief Auto Body located in Cherokee. Crissup states that Voth has not completed any of the work toward the construction of the vehicle from the time the monies were paid until he made the report to Cherokee...
