South Barber Homecoming Coronation happens Thursday night

Finally the three senior girls nominated for the 2020 South Barber Basketball Homecoming Queen will find out who wears the crown. Postponed from Jan. 17 due to weather, the coronation is this Thursday night, Feb. 20. The Chieftains and Lady Chieftains host Pretty Prairie.

A pep rally is Thursday at 2:30 in the gym. The homecoming queen coronation happens at halftime of the varsity boys as is customary. This is also Parent's Night, which will happen between the varsity girls and boys games. The homecoming dance is Friday night from 8 to 10 p.m. There is no ballgame Friday.

Candidates for Homecoming Queen are senior young women Maddison Dotts, Desiree Doherty and Mercedes Rogge. Attendants for each class are Allie Hoch, escorted by Emilio Perez representing the juniors; Breckynn Behee, escorted by Caden Rathgeber representing the sophomores; and Jayden Michel, escorted by Brent Duncan representing the freshmen.

Kindergarten helpers for the coronation are: Hailey Foster, daughter of Jamie Duvall and Lawrence Foster; Kobi Keidel, son of Brittany Carillo; and JP Liggenstoffer, son of H. J. and Raelynn Liggenstoffer.
