The Eagles finished their season in the first round of district playoffs against Deer Creek–Lamont Eagles (DCLA). The DCLA 14-man roster was too much for the five-man Freedom team.

Early in the first quarter, Freedom player Myles Nixon seemed unstoppable making 10 points, and Freedom had a brief lead, 12 to 11. But that didn't last as DCLA took the lead and control. At the half the score was Freedom 14, DCLA 36.

"I was proud of my guys, they never stopped. They continued to work hard the whole game," Coach Beene said.

Freedom outscored their opponent in the third adding 14 points and keeping DCLA at 8. Triston White added five and Rustin Cook added six; at the end of the third quarter the score was 28 to 44. However, it wasn't enough to catch up and the game ended Freedom 45, DCLA 65.

Nixon ended the night with 21 points, White had 16, Cook made six and Levi Weber made two.
