Alfalfa County inmate charged with making home brew

An Alfalfa County Jail inmate has been charged after a shakedown of his cell allegedly revealed homemade alcohol.

According to court records, about Dec. 21, 2019, Deputy Vernon Sanders started noticing inmate Anthony Cochran’s behavior changing. He had started drinking coffee or taking cups of coffee into his cell. Cochran was observed hanging his bed sheet over his door when he was not using the restroom and when he was out in the day area. Cochran’s tote was always covered by a T-shirt but he had a pile of dirty laundry beside the tote with clean laundry placed on the top bunk.
